Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy appointments are dedicated 1-on-1 time with your physiotherapist where you will work towards achieving your rehabilitation goals. This may include hands-on manual therapy, acupuncture, modalities, and exercise.


Massage Therapy

Massage therapy appointments are dedicated time with your registered massage therapist where you will work towards achieving your rehabilitation goals. This may include hands-on manual therapy and exercises.


Chiropractic

Chiropractic appointments are dedicated 1-on-1 time with your chiropractor where you will work towards achieving your rehabilitation goals. This may include hands-on manual therapy, acupuncture, modalities, and exercise.


Yoga

Integrate activity and wellness beyond injury and rehabilitation by joining one of our unique yoga offerings. Consider 1:1 private yoga instruction, yoga informed physiotherapy, group classes or series.

Integrate fitness in to your rehabilitation plan. Reclaim your health. One workout at a time.


Kinesiology / Athletic Therapy

Kinesiology is the study of human movement and exercise. Kinesiology uncovers the biomechanical, physiological, neurological, and psychosocial mechanisms that drive human function and performance.

My approach to healthcare combines the latest in evidence based therapy, exercise as medicine, and education, for the improvement, and maintenance of health, function, fitness, and performance.

I am as much a coach as anything else. Meaning my job is not only to help you feel better, its to teach you how to make yourself feel better as well!

Cody grew up in Sudbury, Ontario, where he attended Laurentian University and completed his B.Sc. in Kinesiology in 2017, and then went on to complete his Master of Physical Therapy at Western University. He is passionate about providing a tailored approach to each client, where their own experiences, abilities and goals are incorporated into the treatment plan in order for them to achieve the best possible outcomes. Throughout the rehabilitation process, Cody also strives to work alongside his clients to create a unique relationship, allowing the privilege to share in their personal development and struggles during this journey.

Registered Kinesiologist

Katie has always had a fascination for human movement. Growing up in Owen Sound, ON, she was an avid highland dancer, involved in school athletics and a fan of nature and outdoor adventure. She also had a passion for helping others.

Kinesiology is the science of human movement, applying the latest evidence based research to improve function, health and wellness. Feel better. Live better. Move better. Katie can help improve your health, mobility and well-being. From treating common injuries to helping prevent some of the most serious medical conditions, exercise prescription is just what the doctor ordered!

Katie graduated from the University of Victoria with an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, and top of her class with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation from the University of Otago in New Zealand. Katie has over 15 years of clinical experience as a Kinesiologist. She worked for more than a decade in New Zealand and Canada with CBI Health, an international leader in rehabilitation services (formerly Canadian Back Institute) treating individuals with an array of physical impairments following workplace, motor vehicle, sports or personal injury.

In addition to private practice, Katie also works for a local manufacturing company providing occupational health, safety and wellness programs for employees working in the office and rotating 12 hour shifts.

Katie is excited to be back in her hometown and is actively involved in the community with her young family. Her husband David and two sons (Tamati and Fisher) keep her busy between school events, hockey arenas and getting out cycling and skiing as the seasons permit.

Physiotherapy Resident

Sarah was raised in Owen Sound, Ontario and grew up playing hockey from a young age. Her love for sports and exercise earned her a scholarship to Lindenwood University in St. Charles Missouri, USA. While playing NCAA Division I hockey, Sarah completed two undergraduate Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise Science and Athletic Training with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. She graduates in September 2020 with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University.

Building on her experience as a high performance athlete, Sarah has worked with many teams and high level athletes, and takes pride in enabling athletes of all abilities to get back to the game they love. She is a strong believer in the power of movement and loves to work with anyone wishing to accomplish their rehabilitation and fitness goals. She wishes to help people realize their potential by CONNECTing them to the tools of self-management and to empower them to take control of their health and well-being.

The world of health and fitness has become diluted with information that is hard to decode. This can make finding the right program suited for an individual a daunting task. James looks to simplify the information for his patients and help them improve their health, well-being or performance.

He enjoys working with people who actively want to enhance their overall health and looks to reCONNECT people to their most basic human elements with emphasis on movement and strategic sensory based therapy.

James completed his undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in Kinesiology before going on to obtain his Massage Therapy Diploma at Algonquin College in Ottawa in 2016. James has always had a strong passion for athletics. He has participated in hockey, fast-pitch softball, golf and various other recreational sports throughout his life.

*Paediatrics Women’s Health Yoga*

Stephanie is a physiotherapist and yoga teacher who is passionate about empowering families working with kids and their caregivers.

Her ideal clients are children from 0-18, pre- and postpartum women wanting to restore their cores and activity levels, and individuals of all ages and abilities  who want to stay active with yoga. She has completed additional training in paediatrics, the core, oncology rehab and yoga.

Yoga has been a part of Steph’s journey for over 10 years, a natural choice to maintain flexibility and strength while training for a half marathon. After experiencing first hand the healing effects of yoga after illness, pre- and post-partum and with trauma, Steph’s intention has been to CONNECT her knowledge and training in physical therapy with yoga for the well being of her clients of every age, stage, and ability. 

As a gymnast, dancer, coach, and trainer growing up, this led her to complete her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology in 2006 at the University of Waterloo. From there she attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a Master’s of Physical Therapy in 2008, before starting her career at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

​After discovering CrossFit in 2011, Clare realized her passion for fitness and the impact that training principles can have on acute and chronic injury. What started with programming for varsity athletes quickly became the foundation on which the idea for CONNECT was built.

​Clare’s ideal patients are people with a passion for fitness, whether they’re just starting out on their fitness journey, or they’re established and looking to take things to the next level. 

Clare completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology in 2014 from Wilfird Laurier University. She went on to complete her Master’s of Physical Therapy from Western University in 2016 where she graduated as Valedictorian.
